On most days you can spot the massive eagle nests from the boat.
On this trip you’ll have a great ocean going adventure, departing the quiet waters of Hobart, cruising along the Derwent before entering Storm Bay.

How did Storm Bay get it’s name?
Abel Tasman was considered to be the first European to visit Bruny Island in November 1642 with his ships the Heemskerck and zeehan. After rounding the South coast he saw a large bay that seemed sheltered from the prevailing South Westerly winds and a likely place to recover from the passage across the Indian Ocean, but before he could make land a gale blew up and forced him across to a major cape to the East and as a result he named Storm Bay.
